Abstract Collaboration in programmes of research to implement and test new interventions to boost Open Science and reproducibility is crucial. Evidence suggests that reproducibility is poor and underdeveloped in many disciplines and that recent initiatives failed to boost reproducibility. More support for the research community is essential in order to give researchers from all disciplinary fields tangible tools to increase their reproducibility efforts. This presentation introduces participants to three major new projects which will work together on these issues over the coming years, OSIRIS (https://osiris4r.eu), TIER2 (http://tier2-project.eu/) and iRISE (website forthcoming).
The projects will map the effectiveness of existing measures, and design, implement and assess new interventions in an evidence-based way. Systematically investigating the causes and consequences of poor reproducibility across contexts, the projects will engage communities and develop and test new tools and interventions to increase re-use and overall quality of research results.
This talk will introduce the aims and ambitions of the projects, especially the targeted interventions. We will especially describe our co-creative, stakeholder-led methods for designing, implementing and testing these (and other) new tools/interventions, and detail how Metascience attendees and others can get involved.
